What to wear? Animal Print!

Almost every boudoir client asks what she should wear.
The answers to this, however, are endless!
I'd like to start posting some "what to wear" ideas.

This week...animal print!

I know that some may hear animal print and think of some 1980's
fashion nightmare, but if you do it right, it's modern and sexy!

Here are a few ideas for animal print outfits!

Wonder Woman In a Corset | Salem Boudoir Photographer

I had a BLAST working with this gorgeous woman!
So much so that we instantly became good friend and talk every day!

This shot just screamed superhero to me!

This is my favorite corset to date.

We all know how much I love shoes.
I just had to get a shot of these! Hello, sexy!

Anonymous Bride

Occasionally I have boudoir clients who wish to remain anonymous for one reason or another (and I certainly don't share all of my boudoir sessions, as some clients prefer that I don't share at all.) . This gorgeous woman had these portraits done as a surprise to her new husband, which she gifted him on their wedding day.
So, here are a few of her 'anonymous' images.

Beautiful Bride to Be | Portland Boudoir Photographer

This is another gorgeous bride-to-be who gifted her new husband
with the traditional gift of boudoir photos.

I love that she wore her wedding jewelry for some of her photos.

Feisty & Sexy

I've known this woman since the fifth grade.
We used to watch Top Gun over and over at her house back in the day.

We had fun as kids and we had fun as adults with this session!
She is feisty and pretty much owned the room!

Probably my favorite shot from her session...

My second favorite shot...

Bitten.

I met this gorgeous woman recently and boy did we have fun!
Not only is she beautiful, but she's fun, exciting, and very interesting.
We hit it off so well that we're keeping in touch as friends from now on!

No illusion, her legs really do go on for days.

We share an affinity (okay, maybe obsession) for all things vampire.

Corsets!

For anyone considering a corset for their boudoir session, I highly
recommend getting one!
(I have a few on hand for boudoir parties, but not in all sizes.)

They are simply AWESOME.

Please note that there are many different styles and types of corsets.
Some are inexpensive and have plastic boning.
These are great for those that don't actually need any
shaping and just want something pretty to show off their figure.

Then there are the steel boned corsets.
You can buy under the bust or over the bust, but either
will do AMAZING things for your shape.
I've had clients literally take 6 inches off their waists just with a corset.

If you are in the market for a steel boned (aka a "real" corset),
I highly recommend that you check out this website (click link below):

Here is one of my beautiful clients wearing one of my all
time favorite corsets from Corset Story.

Close to her heart.

I feel that Miss B's boudoir session fits well with the continued theme of breast cancer awareness. In addition to having her own scare with breast cancer, she's had several women in her family with it. It's a cause that is very close to her heart and she's very involved with breast cancer awareness, from charity events to teaching her Zumba classes in all pink!

Miss B and her husband are very into hockey, which is a new one for me to incorporate into a boudoir session, but I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

One of my favorites!

I love this one because she looks like a goddess.

I see a little bit of Marilyn Monroe here.

Another one of my favorites!

And ending the session with some pinup style fun!

You don't need breasts to be sexy! (breast cancer survivor)

Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought it was only
fitting for this to be my first post of the month.
Remember to do self breast
exams (and mammograms for those 35 and older) on a regular basis!

I had the honor of meeting the amazing Miss S in St. Louis.
This woman radiates beauty and strength and is just awesome to be around.
She's a breast cancer survivor and is only 37 years old
and the mother of 2 small children.

Getting these photos done was a big step for her and
was part of her healing process. I'm so proud of her for doing this, even if we
were both in tears at one point.
I look up to this woman more than words can say.

When I asked Miss S if she had anything she'd like to say to the other
women out there, this is what she said...

"Embrace your body. Let no one or no thing make you
believe you are less of a person, a woman, or a human being.
You are irreplaceable."
