Salem Boudoir Photographer | moody.

Like most photographers, I am in love with light. I love many kinds of light, but when it comes to boudoir, this strong dramatic light is my favorite. It is what moves me as an artist. So, when the sun started blaring through the windows during this in-home session, I about squealed. I mean, seriously, just look at these images.

So, while I love shooting in my Salem studio, I also love shooting in client's homes. It's often a little bit of a challenge, which is fun for me. It also makes the session instantly personalized for the client. Their bedding, their walls, their windows, their comfort zone. I often have people say that they don't think their home is suitable for a boudoir session. Either, it's too messy, or they don't think there is enough light. First of all, messy is not an issue. I can work around the mess. I have three kids. My house is usually a mess. I get it, and I won't  judge you. I promise! As for the light, yes, it's possible for some houses to have poor light (mine actually doesn't have great lighting), but more often than not, a small window is all we need to get some beautiful and artistic shots. If you'd like to have a boudoir shoot in your own  home, but aren't sure if it'll work, I'm happy to meet you at your home so we can take a look and go over all of the questions you may have about your session.
