Salem Boudoir Photography | new studio!

Yes, I've been blabbing about my new studio for a while now. 

What can I say? I'm more than a little bit excited. 

I've been showing some sneak peeks, but I finally have the first 

boudoir session done and ready to share! 

There is about a 2 hour window in the evenings when the sun is setting and blasts this dramatic light into the studio. I am seriously so in love with it. The great thing is that I can do dramatic shots like these, or just move over a few feet and get softer shots without this type of light. If you like these types of shots, though, make sure to mention that when you're booking so that we can schedule it at the right time.

This session was done using a Bronica ETRS and a Canon 5D MarkII.

Located in the historic district of downtown Salem, Oregon, the quaint new space 

is full of character and beautiful natural light.

What's a mother to do when her children are away at school? An in-home boudoir session, of course! I met up with this beautiful mother shortly after she got her three kids off to school. We drank coffee, we laughed, and we moved a few Barbie toys out of the way. 

I loved this little "Sex in the City" inspired idea that she had!

If you think that your home is not "photo ready" for something like this, you're probably wrong. You don't need a large home, a fancy home, or even tons of window light. I've worked in spaces as small as 3x3 feet and produced gorgeous images! I'll work around the mess or move it if necessary. Most of the background falls out of focus anyway, so if you like the idea of an in-home session, but aren't sure if your home will work, I encourage you to contact me. I'm happy to do a walk through with you to determine if your house will work, but more than likely it will. Trust me.
